| The photo was taken whilst the Leyland Morris Men were being filmed on the National Trust Estate at Ashbridge in the Chilterns during May 2007 for a costume drama starring Dame Judy Dench and a number of other well known actors and actresses. The title of the Series is to be called “Cranford Chronicles” and is due to be Televised this Autumn in the form of 5, One hour programs. The LMM only took part in the scenes leading up to and including the May Day festival. Cranford Chronicles is based on a fictional town called Cranford which is a pseudonym for Knutsford and is based on some of the novels written by Elizabeth Gaskell about the society living in the town of Cranford (Knutsford) in the 1840’s. |
